PROVIDENCE ROAD’S cultivation MODEL

Providence Road utilizes a unique cultivation model that acts as the supporting pillar to our programming. Through this unique, five-stage engagement approach, staff and volunteers of Providence Road can walk youth from a place of fighting to meet basic needs to a place of realizing their full potential.

What it looks like!

ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY:

By stepping into the neighborhoods where our youth live, we offer the flexibility and ease of accesses that is necessary to serving our target demographic. This proximity also allows us to engage and serve youth’s basic needs (hunger & safety) while addressing the environmental limitations that hold youth in systemic patterns of destruction.

Building Connection:

Inviting youth to serve their community through picking up trash, provides a space for youth to work towards a common aim and objective. This space in turn becomes a building ground that strengthens relationships, cultivates consistency, and demonstrates the value of teamwork and loyalty in a constructive context.

PRACTICing STRENGTH:

Whereever our youth are on the journey to restoration and purpose, we want to be there to provide a safe place to stumble towards growth. We invite youth to step into structure and diligence when they are ready, continuing to be a steady presence in their lives till that pivotal point when they make the decision to live a bigger story.

Empowering YOuTH:

This element enables volunteers and staff to invite youth into the areas of their story that ignite interest and inspire ambition. Through active and ongoing mentorship, and the expansion of our youths horizons, Providence Road nurtures the areas of intrigue and curiosity through experiences and opportunities that call out our youths true potential.  

STEPPING INTO GREATNESS:

Stepping into leadership within the program and within their community is the final stage of the Providence Road Cultivation Model and represents the culmination of strength brought forth through the practice of diligence, building a track record, taking ownership, and navigating relationships differently.
